A common baseline for all stores without reducing mandatory consumer rights.
Every store on YouMayFind must follow this policy as a minimum baseline. A store may offer more favorable terms but may not remove mandatory consumer rights.
The seller store remains responsible for returns, refunds, compliance and warranties that legally fall on the seller. YouMayFind may facilitate the process.
Where Moroccan consumer law applies to a distance sale, a consumer generally has 7 clear days from receipt of the goods to exercise the right of withdrawal without giving a reason or paying a penalty, subject to statutory exceptions.
If legally required information is not confirmed as required by law, the period may extend to 30 days. Mandatory law always prevails over this policy.
The buyer should clearly communicate the return request through the available account tools, directly to the store or through YouMayFind support, preferably with the order number, item and reason.
For damaged, incomplete, wrong or non-conforming products, prompt reporting with photos or video is strongly recommended. Prompt reporting is a practical recommendation and does not remove statutory rights.
For a simple withdrawal, the item should be returned complete and in a condition consistent with normal inspection, with accessories and, where reasonably possible, its original packaging.
These requirements may not be used to unfairly reject rights arising from defects or non-conformity.
The right of withdrawal does not apply where the law excludes it. Examples may include certain services begun with the consumer’s agreement, goods or services tied to financial-market fluctuations, made-to-order or clearly personalized goods, goods that by nature cannot be reshipped or are liable to deteriorate rapidly, unsealed audio/video recordings or software, and newspapers or magazines.
For a change-of-mind withdrawal, direct return costs may remain with the consumer where permitted by law and properly disclosed. Where the return is caused by the seller’s error or a non-conforming, wrong or pre-delivery damaged product, necessary return costs should not be shifted to the consumer where the seller is responsible.
When a statutory withdrawal is validly exercised, the supplier must refund the amount due without delay and no later than 15 days from exercise of the right, in accordance with applicable Moroccan rules.
If the seller cannot fulfill an order because the product is unavailable, the buyer must be informed and paid amounts refunded within the period required by law. A substitute should not be imposed without the buyer’s required agreement.
A return for non-conformity, defect, wrong item, missing quantity or damage before receipt is different from a change of mind. The seller must process it under the applicable warranty and consumer-protection rules.
The seller may reasonably inspect returned goods to confirm identity, condition and stated reason. Inspection must not be used arbitrarily to defeat a statutory right.
The availability of a direct exchange depends on the store’s terms. Otherwise, the item may be returned and a new order placed for another size, color or reference.
Buyers and sellers should retain useful evidence such as photos, messages, delivery proof, serial numbers, invoice and parcel condition. YouMayFind may facilitate an amicable outcome without restricting legal remedies.
