If you're alone, the one you want to be around the most is perfume. What I often do is lightly spray some perfume on my wrist and then quietly sniff it for the rest of the period. The smell penetrates people, to the heart, where it distinguishes between love and contempt, disgust and interest, love and hatred. Because smell is the brother of breath, it enters people's bodies with breath, and if they want to survive, they can't resist it. People can close their eyes to the grandeur and beauty. They can tune out a beautiful melody or confusing words, but they can't get rid of the smell.
